Metal tower with Borosilicate glass orbs made by, Phil Sundling. This was a test to see if I could elegantly and complimentary blend glass and metal together. The whole sculpture stands 26" tall and is supported by a 6" x 9" base. I put a flame patina on the metal before clear coating it. The borosilicate glass orbs that span the metal ring were made on lathe and hot popped with a hand torch. The largest metal ring is 8" in diameter.
